Meet the filmmaker

Hi, I'm Akash.

I'm a hybrid filmmaker. I shoot with real cameras, I generate with AI, and I pick whichever serves the story, or blend both in one film. 10+ years as a cinematographer means I bring real lighting logic, camera movement and edit pacing to every frame, on set or in a prompt, so even the AI work looks directed, not generated. Script, shoot, edit and sound all come from me, so you work with one person from brief to final master. Your one man crew.

Selected work

Films that look directed, not generated.

New category · Explainers

Ten minutes of science, zero boredom.

Long form explainers built from research papers: hand painted watercolor scenes, animated charts and a clear narrator, scripted and cut to hold attention to the last minute.

New category · Cartoon animation

Celebrities vs the Stone Age.

An original comedy format: a modern star fights a Neanderthal, round by round, with real science about who would actually win. Hand drawn cartoon style, consistent characters across 8 minutes, captions and comic timing.

Food + beverage · Live action

Food that stops the scroll.

Restaurant and bar reels shot on set in Pune. A playful hook in the first second, real plating in natural light, and dish names that pop on screen. Shot, directed and edited for Instagram, including Tapped at Gulp, an ongoing series on the craft beers poured there.

  • Scroll stopping hook built into the first beat
  • Hero dishes framed and lit like a commercial
  • Dish name graphics and fast, music led cuts
  • 9:16 masters for Reels and Shorts
Music video · Live action

Shot on camera, cut to the beat.

Real artists, real locations, real light. Direction, cinematography and an edit that moves with the music.

The difference

Anyone can type a prompt. I write shots.

Most AI video looks the same because the prompt only describes a subject. A cinematographer also describes the lens, the light, the blocking and the grade.

Flip between the two prompts for the same coffee shot.

  • Lens and camera move picked for the emotion of the beat
  • Light motivated by a source you could rig on a real set
  • Character and product bibles, so nothing drifts between shots
  • Cut in an NLE with real pacing, not stitched clips

Slow push in on 50mm at f/2, eye level, 6 seconds. A woman in her 30s at a window table, both hands around a steel tumbler of cutting chai. Soft overcast window key from camera left, warm tungsten practical behind her for separation, negative fill on the right cheek. She blows on the tea, pauses, looks out at the monsoon rain, small smile on the exhale. Kodak 250D look, lifted blacks, gentle halation on highlights. Rain on the glass, a cup set down off screen.

Build a brief
What is a hybrid filmmaker?

I make films with real cameras, with AI, or with both in one project. Live action gives you real people, places and products. AI gives you worlds, shots and scale a normal budget can't reach. I pick whichever serves the story.

Will faces and products stay the same from shot to shot?

Yes. Before generating anything I build reference sheets for every character, location and product. Every shot is made against them, so faces, wardrobe, rooms and labels don't drift.

Can you use my actual product and brand?

Yes. Send product photos, your logo and brand guidelines. I build the product reference from your real product so the packaging, colours and typography stay accurate.

How much does a project cost?

Every project is quoted on the brief, based on length, format and how much is shot versus generated. Use the brief builder above to share your budget range and I'll reply with a quote.

How long does it take?

It depends on length, the number of characters and locations, and revision rounds. You get a clear schedule with the quote, before any work starts.

How do revisions work?

The number of revision rounds is agreed in the quote. Because the look is locked in pre production, a revision changes one shot without breaking the rest of the film.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. AI films, explainers, animation and edits are fully remote, in any timezone. Live action shoots happen on set in Pune and Mumbai.

What do you need from me to start?

A short brief: what you're making, where it will run, your deadline and budget range. References you like and any brand assets help a lot.

What formats do I get?

Final masters for the platforms you need: 16:9 for YouTube and web, 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, and 1:1 for feeds.
